The 2008 International Awards 

Nominations for the 2008 awards are to be submitted by 30th November 2008

Do you know an individual, company, or organization that has excelled or made outstanding accomplishments in the Safety, Quality or Environmental Fields? If so, why not nominate them for one of our prestige ISQEM awards. Please find below a list with the entry requirements for ISQEMA Awards.

 Corporate Professional of the Year Award

This award is our top international award presented to the world’s top Corporate Head of a Safety, Quality, or Environmental Department. This presented to an individual who has shown outstanding support and dedication to his or her profession on an international basis, fulfilling at least four of the following requirements.

1. Demonstrate active involvement within their profession, for a period of at least 10 years. Including the mentoring and supporting of other professionals within the Safety, Quality and Environmental disciplines.

 2. Participated in a significant manner in their designated fields of expertise and contributed to the improvement within at least two of the key disciplines of safety, quality or environmental management.

3. Designed and implemented improvement concepts, or process within at least two of the management disciplines at a corporate level that has contributed to the overall improvement of their organization, or society in general.

4. Presented as a speaker at international conferences in at least three countries.

5. Shown a significant support for the promotion of education and discipline within their fields of expertise; other significant accomplishments may be submitted for review.

Nomination for the Award

Individuals must be nominated by persons with an in-depth knowledge of the nominee’s accomplishments, such as a Company Director, Government or Official body, or a group of professionals within the field of Safety, Quality or Environmental management.

 

Safety Professional of the Year

An Individual, working full time in the field of safety management, or allied field, with national and international experience, etc. Nominated by an individual or organization with an in-depth knowledge of the nominee’s accomplishments in the environmental profession.

Criteria for Nomination:

An individual who has shown above average support and dedication to the safety and protection of people, property, resources on an international basis, fulfilling at least three of the following requirements.

1. Demonstrate involvement within the safety profession, for a period of at least 5 years.

2. Participated in a significant and proactive manner in the safety field and contributed to the improvement of workplace safety and reduction of risk in at least two countries.

 3. Designed safety improvement processes within their organization that has contributed to the overall improvement of the safety performance of individuals.

4. Presented as a safety speaker at international conferences in at least two countries.

 5. Shown a significant support for the promotion of safety education and discipline; - other significant accomplishments may be submitted for review.

Environmental Sustainability Professional of the Year

An Individual, working full time in the field of sustainability management, or allied fields, with both national and international experience. Nominated by an individual or organization with an in-depth knowledge of the nominee’s accomplishments in the sustainability profession.

Criteria for Nomination:

An individual who has shown above average support and dedication to the protection of people, property, resources and the environment on an international basis, fulfilling at least three of the following requirements.

1. Demonstrate involvement within the environmental sustainability profession, for a period of at least 5 years.

2. Participated in a significant manner in the environmental field and contributed to the protection of the environment in at least two countries worldwide.

3. Designed improvement concepts, or processes within the environmental management discipline that has contributed to the overall improvement of the environment.

4. Presented in at least two countries as a speaker at international conferences.

5. Shown a significant support for the promotion of environmental or sustainability education and discipline; - other significant accomplishments may be submitted for review.

 Quality Professional of the Year

An Individual, working within the Quality management, or allied field, with national and international quality management experience, etc. Nominated by an individual or organization with an in-depth knowledge of the nominee’s accomplishments.

Criteria for Nomination:

An individual who has shown above average support and dedication to the safety and protection of people, property, resources on an international basis, fulfilling at least three of the following requirements.

1. Has developed quality managements systems inline with international ISO Standards  for a period of at least 5 years.

2. Participated in quality improvement within an organization and has gained third party certification for their management systems in at least three countries.

3. Designed quality training that has contributed to the overall improvement of the quality performance within their organization. (Must be unique in concept of delivery)

4. Spoken in at least two international conferences on quality or ISO management practices.


ISQEMA International Team Award

The ISQEMA International Team Award  presented to the world top  leading SQE team that can demonstrate outstanding achievement or performance of special service in the advancement of the disciplines of Safety, Quality or Environmental Management.

Criteria for Nomination:

This award is open to teams who can demonstrate that they have made major contributions way beyond the normal remit of SQE teams within organizations that show not only commitment but professional knowledge and expertise within their fields within 2007. In order to apply for this award teams must meet the following minimum criteria:

1. Can demonstrate that they have achieved major changes in the promotion of at least 2 of the SQE disciplines at a industry, regional, national, or international level.

2. Have competent staff appointed for key roles within their team with defined roles and responsibilities.

3. Can demonstrate that they have developed and delivered unique SQE related training courses within 2008.

4. Participate outside of their parent organisation in the advancement of the SQE professions.

5. Members of professional institutes or associations connected with SQE management at a high level.

6. The team must actively participate and act in the strategy and decision making process as a professional group of SQE practitioners.

In addition the team must be able to supply adequate evidence of the above to allow the award adjudicators to make a fair and professional assessment of the application.

The ISQEMA Achievement Award presented individuals or organizations that can demonstrate achievement or performance that has improved Safety, Quality or Environmental Management.

Criteria for Nomination:

Open to all individuals and organizations who can demonstrate that they have made contributions that show not only commitment both improvements within the year 2008.
