ISQEM Board Charter

Structure 

The Executive Board of Directors, International Safety, Quality, Environment Management Association (ISQEM), shall consist of members or invited persons of good professional standing . Members and the Chief Executive Officer to be selected from member’s nominees. All board members are to be actively involved in safety, quality, or environmental management.

Members invited to sit as Board Directors on the board of ISQEM may serve terms up to 5 years; terms of more than 5 years are contingent upon the approval of the Board. Members may serve after the expiration of their term until their successors have taken active office.

The Chief Executive Officer shall be invited to sit for a period of 7 years, and may automatically sit for an additional period of 3 years after his or her term as Honorary Chairman in the capacity of advisor to the new incoming Chief Executive Officer.

Subcommittees or regional branches composed of members established with permission form ISQEM Board. The Chief Executive Officer to be notified upon establishment of each subcommittee, and will be provided information on its name, membership, function, and estimated frequency of meetings.

Annual Board Meeting

Annual Board Meetings held yearly at the call of the Chief Executive Officer with the advance agreement of the board.

Meetings shall be open to the public except as determined otherwise by the Secretary, or other ISQEM official with delegated authority; notice of all meetings posted on the ISQEM website.

Meetings conducted, and records of the proceedings kept, as required by applicable laws and ISQEM regulations.

Duration of Board

Unless renewed by appropriate action prior to its expiration, the Board of Directors, of the ISQEM will sit until the next announced election as posted on the ISQEM website.
